MICHAEL STERLING JOHNSON

Michael moved to the South this spring from Seattle. He is a musician, writer, podcaster, an avid collector and refurbisher, and a jack of all trades. He wears a cowboy hat that looks like it has been to more than a few rodeos, and he has a wide, genuine smile. Michael was the singer-songwriter, bassist and guitarist for the Seattle band Arden Lanes. His forthcoming podcast, Shadow Theater, will be released later this year.

What is your chief characteristic?

 Lightheartedness.

Idea of happiness? 

Water. The beach. I love salt water - floating in it. Some people like to fly. I like to float. 

Idea of misery?

A bad relationship.

Fave writer?

George Clayton Johnson (who wrote many Twilight Zone episodes, the first episode of Star Trek, and co-wrote Logan’s Run).

Pet peeve? 

Gaslighting.

Present state of mind? 

Happy.

What words/phrases do you overuse? 

Hmmm. Maybe hmmm. With a lot of m’s. 

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing what would you come back as? 

The metaphysical. A feeling. A party!
